Business Model:

For a Technology Transfer Center and its technology base products portfolio

Technology Commercialization Potential Assessments:

Handwriting recognition unit:
The core technology of this evaluation is a microcontroller unit (MCU), developed by Penpower Technology, which provides handwriting recognition and character translation from handwritten script to typewritten print. The high-performance handwriting recognition kernel allows quick and accurate recognition of Unicode simplified or traditional Chinese, English, Japanese (Katakana and Hiragana), numbers and symbols.

Fast Net Shape Forming of High Temperature Materials by Combustion Synthesis and Semi-solid Forming:
The invention Developed by The Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Rochester, relates to the production of high temperature materials such as intermetallics, ceramics and ceramic-metallic composites and the like. More particularly the present invention relates to a method comprising a combination of combustion synthesis and semi-solid forming to produce shaped articles composed of such materials.

Star Tagger:
The Star Tagger is a handheld device that uses an advanced proprietary technology with point and click convenience to identify thousands of celestial bodies including stars, planets, constellations and more, providing an easy to sue accurate tool for amateur astronomers. It has been developed by Starvision Technologies at College Station Texas.

Landing NAV:
The LandingNAV system integrates two novel technologies: The first is a unique feature detection method based on edge detection and the Hough transform coupled with motion stereo and stereo correlation. The second is a novel multi-resolution learning algorithm for highly efficient terrain mapping. Together these innovations enable high-fidelity system-level landmark navigation solutions for the precision landing problem. This technology has a broad operational range and can be used for high-altitude navigation as well as terminal navigation (i.e., landing hazards avoidance).

Pipe condition assessment system:
This is a non-invasive method of finding leaks and damages in pipelines that carry various liquids such as water and gasoline developed by The University of Adelaide (Linkage Grant). Currently, under this technology, there are various methods which are used for discovering pipe leaks and damages.

A Clay Acid Product Combination (CAPC):
Is the mixture of unique hydrated sodium calcium aluminous silicate (HSCAS) clay with an acid to produce non-corrosive natural preservative-free acidified clay with a low pH, (a natural, non-abrasive skin peel with anti-aging benefits)

BioSense:
BioSense is a real-time non-invasive urea measurement device that is based on technology developed by leading researchers at Louisiana Tech University.
